Standing Seam Metal Roofing: A Lifetime of Beauty
RoofCrafters specializes in top-of-the-line standing seam metal roofs. If you’re installing a new roof in North Texas, Central Texas or Austin, metal roofing is an excellent choice. Choose from either Double Lock or Single Lock Standing Seam or Snap Lock Panels and you will have one of the most eye-catching, durable, eco-friendly roofs on the market today! Create a look of distinction by doing your complete roof, or by adding a standing seam metal roof accent. Choose from galvalume, aluminum, copper, zinc or a whole array of designer and cool colors.
With our onsite manufacturing of your metal roofing panels, adding striations or creating a panel width that sets off your particular project is a relatively simple undertaking. On most jobs, to enhance the look and quality of your standing seam metal roof, we also custom make your accessories. Keep in mind that a properly installed standing seam metal roof, barring catastrophic conditions, can last a lifetime. Warranties for standing seam metal roofs are the best in the roofing industry. Need a roof for a low slope application? The double lock is an ideal product.
Note: RoofCrafters recommends 24 gauge metal; 26 gauge metal tends to incur excessive “oil canning.” Ask for more details about metal roofing for your Texas home or business.
On-site Manufacturing of Austin Metal Roofs
The greatest advantage of on-site metal roof manufacturing is that panels can be created in the exact length they’re needed — and when they’re needed! Having exact length panels eliminates vertical seams that can compromise a metal roof’s eye appeal, and it eliminates a source for possible leakage. On-site manufacturing is not only a cost effective way to go, but it also means there is no damage from shipping or packaging. If a panel does get damaged we can create a new one instantly without delaying the job!
Custom-Made Accessories for Standing Seam Metal Roofing: The Top Quality Austin Metal Roofing Company
Unlike many of our competitors, RoofCrafters custom makes most of the accessories for your metal roof out of the same 24 gauge steel as your roof—things like your locking “d” edges (metal edge), ridges, valleys, and other miscellaneous flashings that particular applications require. Because accessories and how they’re made play an important role in the quality of your roofing job, we spend a lot of time in our metal shop fabricating your flashings and accessories before even coming onto your job site! Remember that we don’t just do Austin roofing: we serve all of Central Texas with metal roofing. Ask your Project Planner more about what sets RoofCrafters’ roofing accessories and flashings apart from the rest.
Metal Roofing Chimney Caps and Gutters
Want to finish your premium roofing job in a way that really sets your home or business apart? Add a custom chimney cap and/or custom made gutters that are made from the same materials as your roof. These are built to last!
Metal Roof Repairs
RoofCrafters most often installs standing seam metal roofs—roofs that can last a lifetime—yet we are frequently called upon to repair or replace “screw down” metal roofs. While we are happy to offer this service, we recommend that buyers of new roofs be aware that not all metal roofs are created equal. Metal roofs that require screws to be shot through the metal panels rely upon washers to create the necessary protective seal.
Unfortunately, poor installation and weather often cause these to crack or break. When this happens the seal is broken and leaks occur. Problems may occur as quickly as 6 and more often within 12 years after installation. At this point the home or business owner has three less than ideal choices: 1) take every screw out and put a larger screw in (an expensive solution that will need to be repeated); 2) put a coating over the entire system (often unsightly); or 3) tear the roof off and put a standing seam roof down. Clearly, it’s far better, and far more cost effective, when a roof is done right the first time!
